Google Plus for your business

April 14, 2016

Quick post!

Often, I get clients who are wanting just that little extra push in getting Google Rankings, and I share my secrets, often they are simple “best practices”, and other times they are just a little fixes – but the main one I always recommend is grabbing all your social media accounts as quickly as possible once you have agreed on a company name (for example if you look for mikeycattell, I have (hopefully!) secured all the main ones that I require to share my work and personal life).

The main one is Google Brands, it makes sense – you want to fuel your site to get higher rankings on google search results, use their service and they will reward you!

If you already use Facebook (brands or personal) it runs very similar to that, but this time it will show up either on the map as a result or in the right panel

asda_g+

Using Asda as an example, it shows all their social media accounts, and information and including a lovely logo that you couldn’t miss (you can also show address, contact information and opening times if you wish)

As you can see, you can update the bio, times open, email address, phone number, web site address – all the valuable things you need to squeeze out that extra bit for the results.

I recommend to add images, update all your information (at the minimum: bio, address and opening times) and see if that works.
